When it comes to style, there’s nothing like a silk scarf tied around the neck and hair blowing in the wind – particularly while hitting the road in a yellow Thunderbird convertible. This is how I remember my fashionable grandmother. The first vintage designer silk scarf I collected was from the 1950’s by Vera Neumann (Vera), known for bright pops of color and patterns in her textiles. I wanted to preserve their beauty. I created this series to exhibit the art of collectible vintage scarves by designers like Vera, Schiaparelli, Hermès, Lanvin, Pucci and more.
